You can reach us by rental car within two hours from the international airport of Lyon and in one hour from the high speed TGV train station of Valence.
Please take note that there are two villages named Aurel in the South of France. Not all navigation systems show our address or village. Therefore make sure to navigate to LES PLUMACHES or to use the GPS notations mentioned in the itinerary.
As of January 1st, 2024, a permanent low emission zone has been established in the city of LYON. To cross this city (instead of taking the A46 motorway around it) an environmental sticker in the class Crit'Air 0 to Crit'Air 3 is required. On the official multilingual website certificat-air.gouv.fr, you can request a certificate in case you will be travelling with your own vehicle. If the environmental sticker does not arrive in time, use the image of the sticker shown on the invoice and place it visibly behind the windscreen.
you do not need to bring
Coffee filters, pepper & salt, washing up brush, sponge cloth and garbage bags are already available in the kitchen. Do not bother to bring:
bottled water since the tap supplies pure water from the mountains
eco-friendly washing-up liquid (blocks)
The shower/toilet are equipped with:
septic tank friendly toilet paper
organic detergent, hand soap and shampoo/shower gel
